Finally after months of R&D and collaboration the Simple Stage is on the market!
The main focus of our design was that the staging box, bump box , staging controller ect had to be affordable. If we were to create another $300-$700 box like what was already on the market where would we fit in ? And how does this help the community.
We settled on a main design and tested 12 prototypes before getting the user interface just right where the box could be setup in a few minutes of wiring and only a few seconds to program.
The Simple Stage in its current form is the Smallest and most cost effective box on the market by a huge margin.
In the beginning hot rodding was about going fast by salvaging parts off of other cars and piecing together a unique creation that not only looked cool.... but could blow the doors off of the expensive cars of the day.
Today I feel too much emphasis goes into the prestige of having the most high dollar parts on your racecar, and we have lost touch with our grassroots beginning.
Sloppy Mechanics a movement / culture / website / Facebook group ... has really been paving the way in getting back to the roots of hot rodding. They focus on inexpensive parts often salvaged from other cars or used components and choose to say no to the main stream way of thinking in cubic dollars in the drag racing community. This movement has spawned many new products like the Simple Stage that are affordable for the every day hot rodder. Some of the products include the Sloppy Stage 2 cam, a camshaft by Elgin and after the Sloppy community got a hold of it they sold so many they decided to change its name to the Sloppy Stage 2. Snake bite fuel injectors, and affordable turbos and wastegates from VS racing.
